In this guide, we’ll learn how to view WooCommerce visitors’ data directly within Chatway. With this new functionality, you can easily access details about the products users have in their cart or have previously purchased. This allows you to better understand customer preferences and gain valuable context for addressing their queries right from the start.
Chatway is a live chat application designed to enhance real-time communication between you and your customers. By integrating a customizable chat widget into your website, Chatway enables immediate assistance, fostering improved customer satisfaction and engagement.
You can also access and manage chats on the go with Chatway’s mobile applications for iOS and Android devices. Please check our easy visual guides here: https://chatway.app/help/mobile-apps
With that being said, let’s dive in!
Once your customer starts the chat, in the right sidebar, you will see two product-related information:
1. WooComerce Order Insights
Once you open the Orders dropdown by clicking the arrow icon, you will see the customer’s Order insights.

Under the order insights, at the very first glance, you will see the total number of orders, the total amount spent, product image and the information about the order like Order id, date of purchase, order amount, and the order status. If there are multiple orders, you can use the search to quickly check the order and share the information if asked.
But that’s not it, once you click the Details dropdown, you will see more information about the order like tracking, purchased product’s name, amount, quantity, subtotal, shipping cost, tax, total price, and the billing address.

You can also click Copy to copy the information and paste it in the chat to share it with the customer if required.

Note: Order insights will not appear for guest orders. They will only be available for customers with a user account on your WordPress site once they initiate a chat. If you’d like to register users during the checkout process, navigate to your WP Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy and tick During checkout checkbox under Account creation setting.
2. WooCommerce Cart Data
Once you open the Cart dropdown by clicking the arrow icon, you will see the customer’s Cart insights.

Under the Cart Insights, you will see the total items present in the cart, the total amount of all cart items, and the information about the product(s) in the cart, which are product name, image, ID, amount, and quantity.
You can also click Copy to copy the information and paste it into the chat to share it with the customer if required.

That’s it! This feature will allow you to provide fast and effective support to all the product related queries you receive from your customers and enhance the customer support experience.
